Clinical Presentation

Chief Complaint: 23-day-old male with respiratory distress

  • Born at term; Apgar 4/9
  • Shortly after birth, presented with respiratory failure and was placed on CPAP followed by HFNC
  • Thick yellow ETT secretion

Prenatal/Birth History: Unremarkable

Pre-biopsy Physical Examination and Radiology Findings:

  • Right middle lung consolidation
  • Situs solitus

Only rare scattered ciliated respiratory cells were available.
